So many times, I've watched people walk up to one of these pieces and they can't help themselves but reach out to touch.  Part of that is because humans are tactile, but it is also because their eyes are telling them "oh, that's a painting"... and it's not at all.

I never could color within the lines.  Even the pieced quilts are done with overdyed, sunprinted, hand dyed, and/or bleach dispersion to their fabrics.  I make my own rules.
