Comfrey & Yarrow Pain Salve $15/1oz $30/2oz $60/4oz

Regenerative Healing/Pain Relief Salve

Ancient Herbs combined to speed relief and healing grown on property where we control the quality of the ingredients for optimum results.  Apply topically frequently to chronic areas for a few days.  After a round of treatment, use as a maintenance plan.  Immediate relief is expected but because it is promoting cell division for healing, think of it as a treatment plan rather than an "as needed" option.

***WARNING this combo heals very, very quickly and is therefore to be avoided with deep open wounds and puncture wounds.  You have the potential of trapping contaminants under the newly healed skin.

Our blend is comprised of pure organic olive oil infused with our comfrey and yarrow leaves grown here on the farm.  Pharmaceutical grade castor oil and essential oils are added to aid in faster skin penetration and aromatherapeutic  aspects (bergamot & rosemary) and preservation (lavender).

***Yarrow flower  Those allergic to the Asteraceae family (such as ragweed, daisies, or chrysanthemums) may experience contact dermatitis when handling the fresh plant. We are very careful to use only the leaf in this formula - no pollen.

Store in cool, dark place.

Comfrey's Noted Healing Abilities

Commonly known as "bone-knit" this plant has been healing major injuries to scraps and bruises for thousands of years.

The primary active constituents of comfrey leaf are allantoin (which accelerates cell regeneration) and rosmarinic acid (which reduces inflammation).

  • Joint & Muscle Pain: Topically applied comfrey creams are clinically shown to ease pain, stiffness, and swelling associated with osteoarthritis and lower back pain.
  • Sports Injuries: It is commonly used to speed up the recovery of minor sprains, strains, contusions, and muscle aches
  • Tissue Repair: Traditionally applied to bruises, it supports the healing process of connective tissues and bones.
  • Skin Health: The mucilage in comfrey moisturizes and soothes dry, irritated skin. It is also formulated into creams and salves for minor abrasions, sunburns, and superficial scratches.

  • Skin Healing: It is used to soothe burns, eczema, rashes, and sunburns.
  • Insect Bites: Applying the balm helps reduce swelling, pain, and itching from bug bites.

Safety Considerations

  • Skin Sensitivity: Yarrow belongs to the Asteraceae family (along with ragweed and daisies). It can cause contact dermatitis or allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. Always perform a small patch test first.
