Sometimes what you thought was a garden gets away from you and you need help. That's where the "recovery" aspect of what I do comes in. A perfect example on this service can be found in this Memorial Garden at Angel's Paws in Blue Ash. As you can see from the picture, it was completely engulfed in weeds and overgrowth. What I do to a landscape is so much more than grass. There are so many lawn services out there, I believe someone else can do that bit. This garden is all cleaned up and back to being a lovely, recognizable, memorial garden. A more formal style for the beds is represented. A photo slider of what is was before can be found at the bottom of this page as well as a video tour update. My focus for the past year has been converting it to a food forest landscape for visitors and staff.
So much about what we love in wooded properties can be retained while we also use the space. Maintaining the wildness is part of the charm at this property. A very rustic redeveloped garden space ready to rest over the winter for spring planting. Most of the plants for this space are being grown at the homestead nursery for site specific installation. Utilizing native species and proven deer resistant plants, this new garden will provide an engaging space for the home owner and her ever present wildlife! Perhaps there's an area that could be used on the property but you just can't even begin to think of how? The back of this very well groomed property, was such an overgrown woods, that the invasive honeysuckle had overtaken the grass by 10'. Thickly woven with wild grapevine, it blocked the light and air, preventing any possibility of being useful for anything but the wildlife. It has now been under development for a full cycle and the coming year will be integrating food the dear aren't interested in to the productivity.
I help people connect to the land, beautify their property, and teach them how to care for it. I'm not in the instant gratification business because that's not how life works, and let's be honest, gardens are teeming with life. I'm not here to get rich; just here to help, teach, and hopefully make your world a little more lovely. I grow most of what I offer to install here at the homestead and I have a mission to turn all of my clients yards into not only beautifully maintained spaces but also integrated home grown foods in to the mix!
